Questions We Get A Lot

We believe clarity creates calm. Here are the answers to the questions we hear most.

Getting Started

I’m new to yoga or Pilates. Where should I begin?
Unwind, Yoga, Avita yoga, slow flow, Somatic yoga, Stretch and Release and our Mat Pilates classes are all beginner friendly

Do you have intermediate levels classes for those with yoga experience?
Our flow classes are vinyasa style classes. They include intermediate to advanced postures sometimes. We recommend this class NOT be your first yoga class.

What should I bring to my first class?
Just yourself and comfortable clothing you can move in. We have mats and props available, and water is always a good idea.

Classes & Scheduling

How early should I arrive?
Our doors open 15 minutes before class begins and our doors lock right at the start time of class to respect everyone’s time/schedules. Arrive anywhere from 5-15 minutes early.

What if I’m late?
For safety and flow, late entry may not be allowed once class has started because we lock the door once classes begin.

Are classes heated?
Some classes are gently warm, but we do not offer hot yoga. Each class description notes what to expect.

Memberships & Pricing

What’s the difference between a membership and a class pack?
Memberships are best if you plan to practice regularly and want the most value. Class packs offer flexibility if your schedule varies.

Do memberships auto-renew?
Yes. Memberships renew monthly, however, we are a contract-free community.

Can I pause or cancel my membership?
We understand that life changes. Written notice is require. Reach out via email with 15 days notice to thepracticeliberty@gmail.com. You may continue attending classes as usual until your cancellation date.

What is your refund policy?
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds, exchanges, or extensions. This policy is firm and applies to all classes, memberships, and packages.

Workshops & Events

Do I need to be a member to attend workshops or events?
Not at all. Workshops and events are open to everyone unless otherwise noted.

Are workshops beginner-friendly?
Most are. Each event description will let you know if prior experience is recommended.

The Studio Experience

What should I wear?
Anything you feel comfortable moving in. There’s no dress code here.

Will I be offered modifications?
Always. Our teachers offer options and variations so you can practice safely and confidently.

What is expected of students while at the studio?
We ask all students to treat our staff, teachers, and fellow members with respect and kindness at all times. The Practice is a welcoming, inclusive space, and we each play a role in preserving that energy. During class and while in the studio, we invite you to silence cell phones, keep voices soft, and be mindful of others’ experiences. This is a judgment free space with no comparison and no criticism, just room to move, breathe, and be fully present. Thank you for helping us create an environment where everyone feels safe, supported, and at home in their bodies.
